Over 1,550 people attended the event “La Scienza in Festa” organised by the University of Camerino at the Abbey of Fiastra on 15 and 16 June: two days of pure inspiration, discoveries and fun in which it was possible to attend over twenty events including interactive workshops, fascinating shows and conferences, book presentations, scientific aperitifs, relaxing walks to discover nature and engaging exhibitions.
Many people also attended the events organised in collaboration with the Association Casa della Memoria di Urbisaglia, of which the University of Camerino is a founding member: a walk in the historic places of the Abbey of Fiastra with the historian Matteo Petracci, an interview with President Giovanna Salvucci and the immersive experiences with VR headsets designed by prof. Daniele Rossi and dr. Alessandro Olivieri of the School of Architecture and Design of Unicam.
In synergy with the Order of Marche journalists, a round table was also held on “Artificial intelligence: opportunities and challenges between information, science and technology” in which Prof. Michele Loreti and Andrea Polini also illustrated the digitization project of Casa della Memoria di Urbisaglia.
«I am very happy or the success of this event – said the chancellor of the University of Camerino Prof. Graziano Leoni -. This is the first event of a wider project of public engagement of the University of Camerino called Viceversa which aims to make known in a pleasant and simple way the importance of scientific research and science in the life of each of us. I also thank the guests who wanted to be with us, as well as thank all the partners who wanted to collaborate with us and supported us for the success of the event».
There were researchers and students of Unicam who animated the exhibition spaces and led all those present to discover the fascinating world of science.
Among the guests: Luca Perri, Ruggero Rollini, Francesco Petretti, Andrea Catorci, Matteo Petracci, Giovanni Covone, Massimiliano Trevisan. Mattia Crivellini and Lorenzo Fiorentino.
